Jessica Ross is the Director of Economic Development for CMC Gas, where she works to create new opportunities for growth and investment across the company’s six-county service area, with a primary focus on Washington and Clarke counties. She brings more than 22 years of experience in local nonprofit administration and community development, along with deep knowledge of rural communities throughout Southwest Alabama.
She holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Alabama, where she has also served as an adjunct instructor, with research focused on rural infrastructure and sustainability. Ross previously served as Director of the Washington County Public Library and remains actively engaged in civic and community efforts through organizations such as the Clarke-Washington Electric Membership Cooperative and The David Mathews Center for Civic Life.
Ross is also active in her church community at Chatom Baptist Church and committed to strengthening rural communities across Southwest Alabama through collaboration, civic engagement, and sustainable development.
