Public Works

The Public Works Department Director Kevin Woodson is responsible for overseeing maintenance duties within the city.

He is also responsible for keeping our city beautiful by maintaining and repairing streets, landscaping, street signs and trash pickup.

His duties also include management of our Parks and Recreation, Planning and Zoning and Code Enforcement.




Trash Pick-up

Weekly trash pick-up is contracted to Allied Waste Services. All trash MUST be placed inside the Allied Waste dumpster. They can be reached at 251-275-4646.

Large waste, such as yard debris, household appliances, furniture, etc. are picked up by the city's truck. If you need this type of pick-up, notify City Hall by calling 251-246-2461. (NOTE: PLEASE separate yard debris from other types of large waste)

Parks and Recreation

In addition to the Jackson Rec Center, Pine City Park and Pearce Memorial Park, there are two RV parks built around the beautiful Parker and Kimbell Lakes.

The gates to Parker and Kimbell Lake & RV Parks are open from dawn until dusk.
